Seven Days in Paradise: Take a Family Trip to Turks and Caicos

Scuba

So, you’ve decided to spend your family vacation in the Turks and Caicos. Of course, this is an exciting time for your crew. And there are plenty of fun activities are sure to make things interesting!

To help you plan your trip, here's a 7-day family vacation itinerary in Turks and Caicos. Of course, you may contact us if you wish to create a personalized plan.

Day One: Arrive in the Turks and Caicos to a Fully-Stocked Kitchen

When you arrive, you can choose to rent a car or have a taxi whisk you away from the airport to our beautiful, family-friendly resort on the quiet end of Grace Bay beach. At the Tuscany, your oceanfront suite is truly a home away from home. All suites feature fully stocked kitchens with start of the art appliances that is sure to appeal to even the most discerning chef.

The best part? A fully-stocked fridge at your request. We can also arrange for personal chef to make all of you delicious meal.

Day Two: Life’s a Beach

On day two, dive into our European-style pool, (play a little tennis), sunbathe, or simply have a walk across (on) the beach.

Grace Bay beach is the one of the best beaches in the world and the crown jewel of Providenciales. Between the powdery white sands and clear turquoise waters, it’s easy to see why.

The Tuscany is located on the more private, eastern end of Grace Bay beach, which means your family gets to enjoy moments together on the quieter side of the island.

Princess Alexandra National Park, located at Coral Gardens, is a short ten minute ride for our  resort. Princess Alexandra is a family-friendly area and is usually never crowded. Small children can wade in the shallow waters while snorkeling allows the grown-ups to enjoy the island’s marine life.

After your underwater adventure, you and your family may want to grab a bite to eat.  Somewhere Cafe and Lounge is located nearby, serving Tex Mex-inspired cuisine

Day Three: Stand Up Paddling and Kayaking

Ready to explore more of the island? Try a Stand Up Paddling or a Kayaking Excursion to Leeward, on the easternmost coast of Provo. You’ll get up close and personal with the island’s mangrove ecosystem, which protects the island’s marine life from erosion.

Day Four: A Visit to Iguana Island

Providenciales has an exciting marine life, but what about the land animals? Iguana Island, located a short distance from Providenciales, is a protected conservation area that is home to the endangered Rock Iguana.

Exploring the boardwalks that loop around the nature reserve, you and your family can get a closer look at these large lizards.

Day Five: Thursday Fish Fry

The weekly Fish Fry is an island tradition that takes place every Thursday at the Bight Park. Enjoy delicious local fare, including lobster, crab and rice, and of course, locally-caught fried fish. There’s live entertainment and music as well as handmade crafts made by local artisans.

Day Six:  Explore Turks and Caicos

Enjoy another of the many fun excursions Providenciales has to offer. Snorkeling is a very popular activity on Grace Bay beach, bringing people closer to the island’s vibrant marine life. If you’re lucky, you might get to swim beside a turtle!

Between the months of December and April, whales migrate through the area to mate and give birth. Be sure to book a whale watching excursion to experience this breathtaking event. If you rather stay on land, enjoy a family horseback ride with the famous Provo ponies.

Day Seven: Celebrate Your Time on Providenciales

Enjoy a celebratory dinner with your family before your departure. Considering visiting the family-friendly Da Conch Shack, voted one of the world’s best beach restaurants by the BBC and CNN. Enjoy views of the beach while dining on conch and other local seafood dishes.
