Humpback Whales migrate through Turks and Caicos?
When most people hear the word “whale,” they probably think of Alaska, or maybe the West Coast, not Turks & Caicos. Yet, the entire school, or "gam," of 2,500 North Atlantic Humpbacks passes through the waters near Grand Turk and Salt Cay on their annual mating and birth migration. December through early April is the ideal time to visit Columbus Passage near Salt Cay and to marvel at their size and playfulness.

Middle Caicos is home to over 15 miles of above-ground caves, the largest such chain of caves in all of the Bahamas and the Turks & Caicos Islands. Formed by the erosion of limestone, they were once frequented by Ucayali Indians, and you can still see some of this indigenous people's art on the cave walls.
Diving & Snorkeling
Exceptional visibility, steep walls, coral reefs, and a diversity of marine life draw thousands of divers and snorkelers to Turks and Caicos every year. After the Great Barrier Reef off the eastern coast of Australia and the Belize Coral Reef, the Turks & Caicos Islands boast the third-largest coral reef in the world.
As the world's only conch farm, Provo Conch Farm guarantees a one-of-a-kind experience. The tour takes you through the various life stages of the local mollusk and ends with Sally and Jerry. Both are over seven years old and will emerge from their shells and allow you to pet them. If you want a conch shell for a souvenir, then this is the place; the farm currently has over 2 million conch. Tours run Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
Bone Fishing ~ The silvery bonefish makes its home in the shallow flats near mangroves.Reef Fishing ~ Especially fun for children, bottom fishing is similar to fishing in a lake or pond. The north side reef waters and south shore banks provide habitat for snapper, grouper, yellowfin, parrotfish, and other species.
Horse Back Riding
Horseback riding on the beach is an experience that you won't want to miss during your Turks and Caicos vacation. Provo Ponies offers rides from 9:30am to 4:30pm. All rides finish along Long Bay Beach and are suitable for every skill level and children.
Turks and Caicos Miniature Golf Club offers 18 holes with flood lights for fun at The Club is open Monday through Thursday from 12pm-10pm and Friday through Sunday from 10am to 10pm
The best view of Provo is 500 feet up in a parasail. You can see the whole island and the coral reefs through the crystal clear turquoise water.
Golf at Provo
Designed by Karl Litten, Provo Golf Course is considered one of the best in the Caribbean. The Bermuda-style 419 blend offers excellent lies on the fairways, and the dwarf Bermuda makes excellent putting surfaces. Sinking the putts is up to you though.
Many of the resorts throughout the islands have their own tennis courts, but the Tuscany on Grace Bay has one of the prettiest and best maintained courts on Provo.
Be adventurous and enjoy the aqua ambiance of the Caribbean, play and choose to Water skiing, Wake boarding, Kite surfing, Windsurfing, Kayaking and of course Swimming in the ultra salty waters is just like a dream.
